NEW ISOLI TRUCK MOUNT BRINGS CHRISTMAS CHEER TO ALNWICK

Warren Access is bringing Christmas cheer to a Northumberland market town.

They have invested in a second Isoli PNT 210JD4 truck-mounted boom lift, in order to meet growing customer demand. The machine’s first job was to erect the Christmas lights in Alnwick town centre. They have supplied boom lifts to the Committee for more than 20 years.

Alnwick Christmas Lights Committee (http://alnwicklights.com/) deployed the boom over several weekends to install the lights, which are largely paid for by donations from the local community. The compact outrigger footprint and exceptional working envelope of the PNT 210JD4 ensure traffic interruptions are kept to a minimum during installation. The narrow jacking option means that, for some operations, the outriggers can be vertically deployed without first being extended outwards.

Graham Luke at Northumberland Estates, said: “We are one of Warren Access’ oldest customers and due to their knowledge and modern equipment, we look no further for our access and training needs. We often have extremely difficult jobs at very short notice and they can always help, taking the time to advise us, ensuring that our needs are met.”

We often have extremely difficult jobs at very short notice and they can always help, taking the time to advise us, ensuring that our needs are met.”

Graeme Warren, Managing Director of Warren Access, said: “This is a rewarding but challenging task, as we are working against the clock and often in confined spaces, with overhead cables and other street furniture to contend with. The Isoli’s excellent working envelope and narrow jacking feature make it the ideal machine for this type of job.

“We continue to see strong demand for 21m trucks on 3.5t vehicles, which can be driven by anyone with a standard driving licence. The first PNT 210JD4 has been very popular with our customers so we were keen to invest in another.”

The Isoli PNT 210JD4 is a 21m articulating boom mounted on a 3.5t Nissan Cabstar chassis. It has a number of unique features including a dual pantograph boom which gives zero tail swing and excellent ‘up and over’ capabilities; and enhanced jib arc for precise positioning of the platform. A flat-bottomed basket makes it ideal for roofing work.

Improvements on the previous Isoli 210J model include increased safe working load from 200kg to 250kg, providing more payload for tools. The stowed height of the boom is also reduced for travelling.

They were one of the first companies in the UK to purchase a PNT 210JD4, buying our first unit in late 2015. This latest addition is the fourth Isoli compact truck-mounted boom lift in the hire fleet for Newcastle upon Tyne.

All four machines were supplied by Access Platform Sales (APS), the exclusive UK distributor for Isoli products. As part of the IAPS Group – the UK’s largest independent powered access distributor – APS can provide Isoli customers one of the best product support packages in the vehicle-mounted sector.
